Taylor's Progress

May 6, 2005

Hi everyone!

We hope you are all enjoying the springtime weather.  Taylor had his scans on April 13th and 14th.  I’m happy to report that he remains cancer free!  His scans look terrific!  He will go in for his next checkup in June.  Thank you for the prayers because not only did he get a clean bill of health, but he had an easier time going through the scan process this time around.  It only took the nurses 5 minutes and 2 tries to get the IV into his little arm.  Usually it takes at least 20-30 minutes to access him.  He was also much more calm and relaxed this time all around.  Sometimes he acts out a little (or a lot) and gets angry at our visits to MSK.  I can’t say I blame him. He understands a lot more now and I think he is confused as to why he has to go there from time to time.  Scan time is a nervous and stressful week for us.  We’re always so happy when they are over.  It’s a frequent reminder that I need to just trust in God and give my worries and cares right to Him. Taylor is the picture of health now.  When I tell some people that he had cancer, they are in disbelief!  God is good!  Taylor just celebrated his 4th birthday last month.  He now enjoys jumping all day long on his big backyard trampoline that he also received from Make-A-Wish.  (There’s nothing wrong with that left leg now, that’s for sure!)  He loves school and Sunday school, watching NASCAR, playing with his neighborhood friends, going to playgroup, and teaching Cameron everything he knows…good and naughty!  Cameron will be celebrating his 1st birthday this month on May 27th.  This past year went by so fast.  He is a big, blonde, blue eyed, and beautiful baby!  Taylor just adores him now that he has a little playmate.  I’m sure that will end the first time that Cameron is found with one of Taylor ’s toys.  I’m already prepared for the sibling rivalry!  Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement.  We will be sure to let you know how his checkup goes in June.  We love you all!
