Taylor
is enjoying this winter weather; however we are still reminiscing about our time in warm and sunny Florida. He has been playing in the snow, jumping on his trampoline, and attending birthday parties. He will be celebrating his fourth birthday on March 31st. How time flies!
Taylor
is finally fully potty trained, which means we only have one child in diapers. Halleluiah!!
We received some good news from Dr. Meyers at his January checkup.
Taylor
’s checkups have been extended from once a month to every two months. His scans are now every six months instead of every three months. It is great that we are going to MSK less often, but going less means that it is harder when we need to go back. Especially when it is for scans. The other day when I asked
Taylor
what he thought about going to the hospital in
New York
, he said, “I like Dr. Wexler and Dr. Meyers, but I don’t like to go to the hospital because I’m scared.” It is easy for us as adults to internalize why we need to go to MSK, but for a four year old, it can be scary and confusing. Fortunately, when we do go, his doctors and nurses treat him so warmly and make him feel special each time we go, as if it were the day he was diagnosed.
Taylor
’s fifth set of post treatment scans will be on March 15, 16, and 17. We will be sure to let you know how he does shortly thereafter. Please be in prayer for him as this week approaches.
We love you all,
Jen, Matt, Taylor, and Cameron
