October 24, 2004 Hi everyone! Taylor is doing fantastic and he has been very busy this fall and having so much fun as a healthy 3 year old! Taylor’s October check up at MSK went well. He has been done with treatment for 8 months now but whenever we go there his nurses and doctors always greet him with such warmth and enthusiasm. They make him feel so special when he’s there and that means so much to me as a parent. I just love that about MSK! Taylor loves Preschool! He is in the nursery school program at our church, Jacksonville Chapel, every Tuesday and Thursday for 21/2 hours. His teacher says he is making friends, he loves making art projects, and he smiles all the time! When I told her he had cancer last year, she said that you could not pick him out of the class as the one who had gone through what he had, and so recently! We have been doing some fun things with him as well. Our whole family went to the Bronx Zoo last month and Taylor had a blast…especially seeing his favorite animal…monkeys! We took him last year and he could not leave his stroller because he was hooked up to his portable feeding pump and he lacked the strength to walk. This year we couldn’t keep him in his stroller! God is so good! We also brought him to Autumn Baze, a Christian music concert at the Continental arena where we saw my brother play on stage in his band. Since then, Taylor likes to jam in our living room on his little plastic Wiggles guitar to the music on Uncle Gary’s CD. Cameron is about to reach 5 months old now and he loves his big brother. They look so different from each other! Cameron is fair like me and has blonde hair now. We are so blessed by both of them and we are just cherishing every moment with them. Taylor will have his 4th set of post treatment scans done in early November. I will be sure to update the web site soon afterwards. We love you all, Jen |
